Our planning was from 1. to 2
March coach training course in Cologne, then on 2 March we wanted to drive in the
evening to Senlis and on 3rd March to DLRP. But everything came completely
different. The training course onSunday failed because of private problems of
the Dozentin, therefore we sat on Saturday afternoon in Cologne and considered:
“What are we doing now?“
The problem was, we had a
reservation for the 1.3.03 at a hotel in Cologne and for the 2.3.03 at hotel in
Senlis and I had ordered dated tickets for the 3.3.03 for DLP. We decided to
cancel the hotel room at Cologne and to drive one day earlier to Paris. From
Namur I called the hotel in Senlis and reserved a room for the night. There we
arrived at about half past eigth having lunch at McDonald next door. The weather
was not so bad, but should become better.
On the next morning we drove
after breakfast (the difference between the breakfast in ETAP Hotels in Germany
and France is, in France there is only jam and honey and no sausage or cheese)
we went to DLRP. After 40 minutes we saw the NBC and the Disneyland Hotel. We
parked at the Village parking lot and went to the Salon Mickey to solve our
ticket problems. It was not a problem at all to change our tickets for the
3.3.by the CM in tickets for 2.3., while we had a brownie and coffee. So feeling
very well we went to change our daytickets to an AP at the Also this was no
problem at all and now we are proud owners of yearly passports and the day in
DLP could begin. First we got fastpass tickets for SM and went for the POC in
the meantime.
After we went to SM, we
changed to WDS. The weather was not so good unfortunately, it was very windy and
partly gave it rather heavy showers. Since we haven´t seen the Television
Production Tour yet we went there first... but we were disappointed. They
starting the production from 10 March on and by the time they produce nothing.
After a small break in the Rendevous de Stars for dinner we got fastpass tickets
for Rock'n'Roller Coaster, in the meantime we went to Armageddon. While we are
in the queue we could see the parade. Armageddon is much more interesting in its
new form. Back to the Rock'n'Roller Coaster we find out that it was
unfortunately out of operation.
Now again back to the DLP. At
Harringtons we bought a stone for the Promenade Disney. In June the next time to
be there will be able to see it. During the parade we had coffee and cake at the
Pizzeria Bella Notte. As the parade ended we went to IASM where we could go on
immediately without waiting time. Afterwards we waled along Adventureland and
Frontierland and gone to BTM. Afterwards we went back to the WDS and
Rock'n'Roller Coaster. At the end we did the Studio Tram Tour and I talked with
the CM desired that the „German“ Car would be in the middle (the best place
to take photographs in the Canyon). As one of the last visitors we left at half
past six the WDS wanted to go to the Village to do some shopping.
And now the trouble startet. At
the entrance to the Village there are security checks. In my opinion this is
meaningful and in the today's time justified... only the way they do it is IMHO
very strange. After my husband already showed them his keys and the handy and
they had a look at our bags and the backpack there was still a “beep”.
Reason: My man had a small Swiss pocketknife ( as he always has) in his trouser
pocket and the security man gets now annoying. It lasted a time to understood (we
can hardly French and he hardly English and none German) that he would not let
us pass and we should take the bus to the hotels. He was talking to us very loud
and rude. Okay, we went to the bus station, took the bus to the HNY, walked
through the hotel and come back to the Village from the other side again (this
time without control, cause they stand at the entrance of from Villageparking).
This costs us approx.. 30 minutes, but with the small pocketknife he could have
still arranged mischief(if he wanted to, but he would not at all)! We did some
shopping and went back to Senlis in order to eat there again at the McDonald.
Mondaymorning it was rather
foggy as we drove, but already soon the sun came out. Our first place to go was
again the Salon Mickey and after brownies, muffins and coffee has we mainly
walking along doing some more shopping, some pintrading and taking photographs.
We made a reservation at the Plaza Garden for a table at 2p.m. to have the AYCE
Buffet before leaving for home.
Actually I wanted to see
Animagique, but the theatre was complete and the other shows were too late. Instead we saw Cinemagique again and were totally inspired of it.
After the super meal in the Plaza Gardens we went to the car at 3.30 p.m. After
exactly 5 hours of driving time in which we hear the CD „Une Journee de DLP“
we arrived very tired at Dortmund.
